2011 VMI WOMEN'S CONFERENCE

Presenters: Host Pastor Eunice Liberty, Pastor Bev Murrill, Pastor Evie Kesek
Venue: Centenary Hall, New Brighton & Cotswold Church, Burt Drive

Day one: Sunday, 7 August 2011

This year’s Women’s Conference opened on a whole new level of excellence with drama, dance and music. Sunday evening’s message by Pastor Bev Murrill was phenomenal. Bev leads the CGI movement of Churches with her husband. Bev’s apostolic ministry is expressed as a prolific mentor to leaders across several continents; an author and international conference speaker; founder of Cherish Uganda for abandoned children with AIDS; and the visionary leader for Liberti, a fantastic new magazine for Christian woman.

One of the conference-goers remarked that after sowing for years she got very little in return. She could relate to the 'spirit of Labon'. After twenty years God came through for Jacob by breaking the 'spirit of Labon'. The message was one that led many to do much introspection and see that even though the Laban spirit was going to come after them, they had a choice to stay or to move on. Our past is our past and we cannot look into the rear-view mirror forever. There is a huge windscreen in front of us. A life of abundance that await us. We have a choice to submit to God to be processed and developed.

Day two: Monday, 8 August 2011

The afternoon session was led by Pastor Evie Kesek, a successful business woman in Indonesia. Evie has served pastors and leaders throughout Indonesia imparting fresh zeal keeping them abreast with current moves of God. Her prophetic gifting is able to unite the Body of Christ in the realms of Glory and she carries a breaker anointing. Evie has established many orphanages training and mentoring the children to become successful in education and business. Evie has an ability to impart the life of the Spirit to those she ministers to. Her session was inspiring and uplifting. The message to all was that we could rise up despite adversity and how we could use that adversity to work in our favour. Evening session with Pastor Bev Murrill was in line with Pastor Evie's message. Pastor Bev spoke about Jael and how strategic she was placed to take the enemy out. How ordinary people become heroes; from repentance to healing and deliverance. She spoke about Jael's frustration as a woman, how in her obscurity the very frustration drove her to lead her nation to victory.

Day three: Tuesday, 9 August 2011

Pastor Bev’s message was filled with the grace of God. How we are to speak into adverse situations and if we did not, we would conform to those situations. Once you break out of the box you will never fit back in. Pastor Evie gave valuable grooming tips; practical ways to enhance and improve our physical self. The beauty of knowing that, “I am the apple of God's eye”.

Feedback:  Conference-goers:

“Pastor Evie Kesek and Pastor Bev Murrill are two very powerful women; on another level of success and spiritual growth. Unfortunately I was not there for most of the services because most of my duties were outside.  I managed to catch most of the grooming session that Pastor Evie gave on the last day. I noticed that women were surprised at how easy it is to dress up and look great.”

“To me the conference was a real blessing. There was so much confirmation with the word about rising up and taking up our position as women of God (Isaiah 54, Numbers 27). The word actually brought restoration, confidence on the lives of the women and that women must stand for what they believe in. The other thing that was so profound was to know that God sees us as queens instead of princesses and that queens rule over any situation. The other highlight was the prayer done in the morning of the last day. It actually revealed that women are hungry for God and want to move to another level with the things of God. The teaching also on self image by Pastor Kesek was awesome. The self-image ties up with the spiritual connotations of how you feel inwards as a woman. During the time of rehearsal s there was so much excitement from the women. It was like women were getting out of their shells and started to experience breakthroughs in their personal lives.”

“All sessions were well attended which tells me that women are hungry for the word of God, empowerment, growth and change. The messages preached in all sessions was relevant and just what women needed in this season. Ps Bev's preaching on change and breaking the box and knowing the power in us, and then Ps Evie's testimony and how God turned her situation around made me realise that all things work together for the good. There was such a strong-felt presence of the Holy Spirit in each session. The grooming session came as a surprise and it was just life made simple for women.”

“I think if all women there had their hearts open to receive and be touched by God, surely he met them at the point of their needs. I wish to thank God for what my pastors are doing in our lives. They see the best in us and makes us realise who we are in the Lord.”

“In the past five years of marriage I've always stood back, looked down on myself and thought my husband is better and greater than me. Thank God I've realized my husband is all that because of me!”

“The conference was a real blessing for the women. God used the two ladies to come and deliver a message of hope to all women in South Africa. Their faith and
testimonies were powerful; the manner in which the message was conducted was inspiring, especially when I realize how important it is to equip myself with
new oil and a renewed mind. The content of the messages was addressed in a manner that reminds us to switch on our light; knowing our purpose and what task God has called us for. My personally experience, when I took part in the opening procession was amazed and an eye opener. I am experiencing a harvest-time now and stand in tears when I see how God uses people from afar to show us His plan and purpose for our lives.”

“I was clearly in the right place at the right time and I heard exactly what I needed to hear at exactly the right time I needed to hear it. Because of these powerful women, I have finally taken a step forward in my life. I have joined the Cake Decorator's Guild of S.A and I'm in the process of registering to go to college and study next year. Ps Bev and Ps Evie made me realise that it's not too late for me to pursue a career and that I want to be so much more than what I am right now. There's so much more that God intended me to be. They have given me a new hope, a future to look forward to and opened my eyes to new possibilities. These ladies, including Ps Eunice, have become my symbol of strength and a beacon of hope, the epitome of a Christian woman. I have been inspired beyond comprehension. Ps Eunice told us that we'll leave the conference as changed women. I already feel the changes taking place within me.”

***

“Well, I can just say that I got my groove back. After having gone through such a time of isolation and a valley experience this was the end of my valley experience, which God basically set up for me, to say its time now, step out step forward, you have much greatness on the inside of you. My grooming period in the valley is complete; I'm stepping into my wealthy season again.”

***

“I feel rejuvenated and revived and know that the box I fitted into at my previous level will not accommodate nor fit me ever again because I'm way too big for it now.”

***

“I now realise that God clothed me with the strength I needed to get to where I am today.  I'm coming out, my self-esteem has been boosted sky high. I know I'm a queen and will therefore walk according to that label. What stood out for me is Jacob realising the package that came with the first-born and understanding the revelation thereof. The mirror revelation of Jacobs life at the tipping point of change stood out for me. The mirror encounter is a phenomenal way to move forward and applying it practically in your life.”

***

“This conference made me realise how strong I really am in God, and also that I don't have to be perfect, because I already qualify for my calling as God has qualified me before. It has made me value my relationship with this wonderful God even more; entrusting my life into His powerful hands, knowing that He loves me, and graces me every day with strength. I am going to need to walk this path carved out for me by God. I feel strong in every area and I am no pushover for no demon in hell. I'm out of the box.”
